With its completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity driving. With the side lugs of the legendary DHF, which have been widened a little for even better cornering, it has extreme cornering hold. The central lugs have tapered lugs for better acceleration. Notches on the studs improve the transition when turning into bends. Part of the center lugs are paddle-shaped, they dig in when you brake hard and help keep the bike under control. 2.60WT wide tires generally have a WT construction, but no WT marking on the tire sidewall.

3C Maxx Terra
The right 3C mixture for enduro and freeride tires. Ease of movement uphill and excellent grip downhill characterize this mixture as well as a long service life.

EXO protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains convincingly good.

" EXO + Protection
The new EXO + construction combines two of the best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO.

The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tire from bead to bead, the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Together, the EXO + results in the following advantages:

Tires with EXO + Protection are built for aggressive trail riding and enduro races, and especially designed for the higher torque and weight of E-MTBs. First there are wide versions of the popular Minion DHF, Minion DHr II and Rekon with EXO + casings. "

Double down
Doubledown tires are constructed like downhill tires: two carcass layers reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. Thanks to two 120 TPI (instead of 60TPI) carcass layers and aramid bead, they are significantly lighter than the downhill tires, much more stable and robust than the TR + EXO tires and therefore ideal for tough enduro courses.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no hose, the risk of a breakdown also decreases. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for assembly with sealing milk than other "tubeless ready" tires. Like a real UST tubeless tire, the bead of the TR tire is completely covered with a rubber layer. As a result, tubing-free assembly is successful on all rims with standard dimensions when they are inflated for the first time and with little liquid. “Normal” MAXXIS MTB tires can also be fitted with tubeless sealant like tires from other manufacturers, as the carcass fabric is very dense. Only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless assembly and guaranteed by MAXXIS. The tubeless assembly of other models is at your own risk.

Wide trail casing
The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and are too angular in shape on wide rims and thus not exactly optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 39 mm.

Mit seinem komplett neuen Profildesign ist der Minion DHR II der ideale Reifen für aggressives Gravity fahren. Mit den Seitenstollen des legendären DHF, die für noch besseren Kurvenhalt etwas verbreitert wurden, hat er extremen Kurvenhalt. Die Mittelstollen haben angeschrägte Stollen zur besseren Beschleunigung. Einkerbungen an den Stollen verbessern den Übergang beim Einlenken in Kurven. Ein Teil der Mittelstollen hat eine Paddelform, sie graben sich beim harten Bremsen ein und helfen, das Bike unter Kontrolle zu halten. 2.60WT breite Reifen haben grundsätzlich eine WT Konstruktion, jedoch keine WT Kennzeichnung auf der Reifenflanke.

3C Maxx Terra
Die richtige 3C Mischung für die Enduro und Freeride Reifen. Leichtgängigkeit bergauf, sowie beste Haftung bergab zeichnen diese Mischung genauso aus wie eine lange Lebensdauer.

EXO Protection
Dieses extrem schnitt- und abriebfeste Material schützt die Seitenwand verschiedener MTB Reifen. Es ist sehr dicht gewebt, leicht und sehr flexibel. Dadurch bleibt die Performance der Reifen unverändert überzeugend gut.

Die neue EXO+ Konstruktion kombiniert zwei der besten Pannenschutz Materialien: SilkShield und EXO.

Die SilkShield Lage umgibt den ganzen Reifen von Wulst zu Wulst, die EXO Schicht ist auf den Seitenwänden montiert. Zusammen ergibt das EXO+ mit folgenden Vorteilen:

Reifen mit EXO+ Protection sind für aggressives Trailriding und Enduro Rennen gebaut, und besonders auch für das höhere Drehmoment und Gewicht von E-MTBs ausgelegt. Zunächst gibt es breite Versionen der beliebten Minion DHF, Minion DHr II und Rekon mit EXO+ Karkassen."

Double Down
Doubledown Reifen sind aufgebaut wie die Downhillreifen: zwei Karkassenlagen verstärkt mit einer Butyleinlage in der Seitenwand. Durch zwei 120 TPI (statt 60TPI) Karkassenlagen und Aramidwulst sind sie aber deutlich leichter als die Downhillreifen, deutlich stabiler und robuster als die TR + EXO Reifen und somit ideal für harte Enduro Kurse.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Schlauchlose Reifen haben viele Vorteile: Man kann mit weniger Luftdruck fahren. Dadurch erhält man bessere Traktion und der Rollwiderstand sinkt. Und wo kein Schlauch ist, sinkt auch das Pannenrisiko. MAXXIS TR Reifen sind besser auf die Montage mit Dichtmilch vorbereitet als andere „Tubeless Ready“ Reifen. Der Wulst der TR Reifen ist wie bei einem echten UST Schlauchlosreifen komplett mit einer Gummischicht überzogen. Dadurch ist die Schlauchlosmontage bei allen Felgen mit Normmaßen bereits beim ersten Aufpumpen und mit wenig Flüssigkeit erfolgreich. Auch „normale“ MAXXIS MTB Reifen können wie Reifen anderer Hersteller Tubeless mit Dichtmittel montiert werden, da die Karkassengewebe sehr dicht sind. Offiziell für die Tubeless Montage freigegeben und von MAXXIS garantiert sind aber nur die neuen MAXXIS TR Modelle. Die Tubeless Montage anderer Modelle erfolgt auf eigene Verantwortung.

Wide Trail Casing
Die Wide Trail (WT) Konstruktion optimiert das Profillayout und die Reifenform auf den heute modernen breiteren Felgen. Traditionelle Reifen werden für schmale Felgen entwickelt und erhalten auf breiten Felgen eine zu eckige Form und damit eine nicht gerade optimale Performance. WT Reifen sind für eine innere Felgenbreite von 35 mm optimiert, funktionieren aber ausgezeichnet auf allen Felgen mit einem Innenmass zwischen 30 und 39 mm.
